Nestled on the shore of our small lake, and framed by dogwood and redbud trees, the Lakeside Log Cabin is another great addition to our ‘lodging adventures”. As with many of our other areas, we have incorporated the new with the old, the modern with the sense and feel of history from pioneers of the Ozark past. The logs used in the cabin came from an original log cabin that was moved several times, with its last resting place being the Shannon County Courthouse lawn for many years. The County Court let us salvage the logs, as they knew we would preserve them as much as possible, and keep the history of the cabin alive.
